We kick off our high-altitude adventure in the awesomely vibrant city of Kathmandu – be prepared for sensory overload the moment you get off the plane!
From there, we’ll jump on a flight to the infamous Lukla airport situated at 2,900m - the jaw-dropping gateway to the Everest region – where the adventure really begins. The early part of our journey takes us through an awe-inspiring variety of landscapes – from deep canyons to lush forests, hidden valleys and tranquil villages.
We’ll ease our way into it, switching between hiking and running as we find a comfortable pace that gives us the space and time we need to get used to the altitude and terrain. As we wind our way up the valley, anticipation and perspiration will be building and then kapow – before you know it, the wowzer-making peaks of the Everest Valley will come into view. Standing among these giants, feeling their power, breathing their energy. This is what it’s all about!
We’ve chosen a circular route so that every day brings something new - new experiences, new views, new smells, new faces and new friends made along the way.
By keeping to a steady pace we’ll allow ourselves the necessary time to acclimatize and the opportunity to be truly present and embrace this life-affirming place. When the trail allows, we'll run, harnessing the energy of the environment one whoop-tastic step at a time!
Are you ready to get high in the Himalayas? Then let us begin.
